Adult Therapy

I recognize making the jump to begin therapy can be overwhelming, anxiety producing and daunting. My priority is to create a welcoming, accepting and safe therapeutic space. My approach is grounded in a “whole person” approach, working collaboratively to use your strengths and work towards your therapeutic goals. With this foundation, we can begin to work on processing thoughts, emotions and/or traumatic events. Becoming aware of our thoughts, we can guide them to be more helpful and true. Making small changes by adding in coping skills and healthy routines can lead to a domino affect to positive changes to your mood. I pull from evidence based therapy modalities to which I have received additional training including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Is virtual therapy right for me?

The approach and modalities I use do not change based on in person or virtual therapy settings. The support is the same! If I ever need to provide a visual, Jane app allows me to share my screen and send resources.

Virtual therapy has many perks including its convenience. It offers the comforts of home to help ease any anxieties about attending.

It is accessible, all you need is a quiet safe space where you can talk freely.

Frequently asked questions:

  • Yes! I am covered by most insurance companies as a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work

  • I am happy to work with what feels right to you. Generally, I work with clients for 3 sessions weekly or bi-weekly to start before moving to monthly and then on an “as needed” basis

  • I encourage everyone to book a free 15 minute consult to discuss this. It is you opportunity to ask me questions and get to know me as a therapist.
